The Imperial 90 Minute fire rated glass block, also known as the THICKSET® 90 Glass Block, is a thicker-faced block. The THICKSET® 90 provides all the traditional benefits of glass block plus a 90-minute fire rating. THICKSET® 90 Block is classified by UL® for use as 45-minute, 60-minute or 90-minute-rated window assemblies. The patterns available in 90-minute fire resistant glass block are NUBIO®, ENDURA™, and CLARITY® with available sizes in 6″ x 6″ x 4″ in CLARITY® or 8″ x 8″ x 4″ in all patterns. The nominal face thickness of the 90-minute fire resistant glass block is 0.75″, whereas the standard blocks are 0.125″. The fire rated blocks also offer sound proofing, with the sound transmission class (S.T.C) of the THICKSET® 90 at 50.
